It rectifies the deranged pitta and improves digestive fire (agni)It is beneficial in   hyperacidity (amlapitta), indigestion, sour belching, giddiness (bhrama)  due to aggravated pitta, urticaria (sheetapitta). 
It improves the taste and appetite. It is also beneficial in headache due to hyperacidity.
