Sariva (hemidesmus indicus) is a shrub growing close to the ground in all parts of India and Pakistan.  Ayurveda uses the roots, the root's bark and root's juice.  It is recommended to cure skin disorders and for a better skin appearance (not scientifically established).  It is understood to be a UMKEHRUNGSMITTEL (i need to clarify).  The sweet fragrance is reminiscent of vanilla.  Sariva has a calming effect on all three doshas.
