Manjistha is a branched climber that has bristles. The stem is slender and four angled. The flowers are very small, greenish white and arranged in a branched cluster.The fruit is round and fleshy. It grows up to 1.5m in height and has perennial leaves. The roots have brownish red bark and is used to produce red dye. The parts of the herb that are beneficial to us are stems and roots.
